Description
The AGM-12C Bullpup is an American manually-guided air-to-ground missile. It was introduced in Update 1.91 "Night Vision".
The AGM-12C entered service with the USAF in 1965, by Lockheed Martin. The warhead was semi-armour piercing and weighed 450 kg. The motor generated 33,000 pounds of thrust or 147 Kn, to produce a range of 16 km. The total amount produced was around 4,600 for the C variant.

General info
Missile characteristics | |
---|---|
Mass | 810 kg |
Guidance | Manual (MCLOS) |
Maximum speed | 445 m/s |
Missile guidance time | 30 secs |
Firing range | 16 km |
Explosive mass | 136.5 kg TNTeq |
Armour penetration | 83 mm |
Warhead type | HE |
Effective damage
The AGM-12C Bullpup inflicts massive damage against ground targets, as well as some splash damage. It is a nearly guaranteed destruction with a direct hit.
Comparison with analogues
Give a comparative description of missiles that have firepower equal to this weapon.
Usage in battles
The AGM-12C is an effective and useful missile against armoured ground targets, attacking from altitude with a steep incline makes aiming the weapon easier. Beware of its severe impact on flight performance, especially on lighter aircraft such as the A-4 series, optimal fire range is from 3-5 km.
Pros and cons
Pros:
- High explosive mass
- Good armour-piercing capabilities
- 16 km maximum range
Cons:
- Slow speed and acceleration
- Command-guidance control
- Significant overall weight
History
Examine the history of the creation and combat usage of the weapon in more detail than in the introduction. If the historical reference turns out to be too long, take it to a separate article, taking a link to the article about the weapon and adding a block "/History" (example: https://wiki.warthunder.com/(Weapon-name)/History) and add a link to it here using the main
template. Be sure to reference text and sources by using <ref></ref>
, as well as adding them at the end of the article with <references />
.
Media
Excellent additions to the article would be video guides, screenshots from the game, and photos.
