General info
The HOT-K3S is a laser guided ATGM. The missile has a range of 4 kilometres with a 20 second missile guidance time. It has a mass of 23 kg, with 2.9 kg being composition B (3.8 kg TNT equivalent.)
Effective damage
High explosive with a kinetic core to penetrate.
Comparison with analogues
SS.11 has more explosive mass but less pen
9M113 Konkurs has more explosive mass in TNT equivalence, but less range and penetration
BGM-71C I-TOW has same range with less pen but same amount of explosive mass
Usage in battles
Great against majority of vehicles it goes against such as the T-55A, T95E1, and Chieftain Mk 3
Pros and cons
Pros:
- Wire guided allowing easy aiming
- Great pen compared to alternatives at similar BRs
Cons:
- Hard to aim at range
- Lose control if line of sight is blocked
- Can't pen tanks with ERA
