Usage in battles
The 530F missile's purpose is to intercept high altitude targets or for head-on attacks. Unfortunately, because the missile uses Pulse signals, the missile will always track any type of chaff that will be deployed. Combined with it being a SARH missile, it can be tricky to sneak up on targets. The best way to use this missile is to target aircraft that have no countermeasures, or in situations such as head on, launching the missile at very close range, hoping that the missile hits the target before it can react in time with its high acceleration and speed. The missile can also be used in engaging AI targets for extra points if getting both missiles off the rails are difficult against other players. Both F1C and F1CT radars are subpar and it can be tricky to use combined with the decent radars both aircraft get. The Mirage 2000C is a bit more forgiving with its better radar, but the missile will still let you down it any chaff is deployed while tracking a target.
Pros and cons
Pros:
- Excellent tracking
- Great maneuverability
- High G overload
- High missile speed compared to its American and Russian counterparts
Cons:
- Will always track chaff due to its pulse signal wave
- Range is subpar than its Russian and American counterparts
- Missile capabilities can be limited by radar
History
Examine the history of the creation and combat usage of the weapon in more detail than in the introduction. If the historical reference turns out to be too long, take it to a separate article, taking a link to the article about the weapon and adding a block "/History" (example: https://wiki.warthunder.com/(Weapon-name)/History) and add a link to it here using the main
template. Be sure to reference text and sources by using <ref></ref>
, as well as adding them at the end of the article with <references />
.
Media
Excellent additions to the article would be video guides, screenshots from the game, and photos.
