Usage in battles
This missile is primarily useful in BVR engagements with enemy aircraft.
Close to Medium Range Engagements. Although the missile is designed for BVR fights, the nature of it having a self-guiding time within 15km just like some missiles makes it a strong fire and forget medium range missile. However, this is only advised in an open environment, maps that has hills or building such as Southeast-Asian City is not a viable map to use it due to players usually guiding locked missiles to mountains or buildings.
Pros and cons
Pros:
- Extremely long range.
- Active homing radar missile so you do not need to keep radar lock within around 12km range.
- Powerful-Medium Range fire and forget missile.
Cons:
History
Examine the history of the creation and combat usage of the weapon in more detail than in the introduction. If the historical reference turns out to be too long, take it to a separate article, taking a link to the article about the weapon and adding a block "/History" (example: https://wiki.warthunder.com/(Weapon-name)/History) and add a link to it here using the main
template. Be sure to reference text and sources by using <ref></ref>
, as well as adding them at the end of the article with <references />
.
Media
Excellent additions to the article would be video guides, screenshots from the game, and photos.
