Survivability and armour
Examine the survivability of the aircraft. Note how vulnerable the structure is and how secure the pilot is, whether the fuel tanks are armoured, etc. Describe the armour, if there is any, and also mention the vulnerability of other critical aircraft systems.

Usage in battles
Describe the tactics of playing in the aircraft, the features of using aircraft in a team and advice on tactics. Refrain from creating a "guide" - do not impose a single point of view, but instead, give the reader food for thought. Examine the most dangerous enemies and give recommendations on fighting them. If necessary, note the specifics of the game in different modes (AB, RB, SB).
Pros and cons
Pros:
- Can carry 8 air-to-air missiles
- Can take off and land on aircraft carrier
Cons:
- Doesn't have an internal gun
- The external gunpod negatively affects flight performance
- Somewhat large target
History
The F-4S Phantom II is a fighter-bomber aircraft that was designed and produced by McDonnell Douglas, now part of Boeing. It is a variant of the F-4 Phantom II, which was introduced in the 1960s and served with many air forces around the world. The F-4S was specifically produced for the United States Navy and saw service in the Vietnam War, Operation Desert Storm, and other conflicts.
The F-4S was an upgrade over earlier variants of the Phantom II. It featured improved engines, avionics, and weapons systems, as well as reinforced airframe and landing gear for carrier operations. It was armed with a variety of weapons, including missiles, bombs, and cannon, and could carry up to 18,000 pounds of ordnance.
The F-4S was retired from active service in the 1990s, but some examples remain in use as target drones or in the hands of private collectors. It remains a popular subject for aviation enthusiasts and scale modelers.
