Survivability and armour
Examine the survivability of the aircraft. Note how vulnerable the structure is and how secure the pilot is, whether the fuel tanks are armoured, etc. Describe the armour, if there is any, and also mention the vulnerability of other critical aircraft systems.

Usage in battles
The highly versatile loadout for the F4S allows it to take different roles, armed with 12x500lb or 18x250lb, the F4S can perform the role of a bomb truck, capable of removing a base with one strike. When carring sparrows and sidewinders, try to go low and use the pulse doppler radar to your advantage and use AIM-7F on head-ons, optimal strike range for the 7F is around 5-8 km, do not waste the sparrow on targets doing 3-9 maneuver or has an approaching rate of less then 300km/h, for the PD radar cannot pick it up. Using the F4S as a CAS is not recommended because it lacks guided weapons
Pros and cons
Pros:
- Good amount of air-to-air missiles
- Has access to powerful AIM-7F and AIM-9H missiles
- The agile eagle package similar to those on the F4E improve its maneuverability
- Advanced HUD allows for better performance then the F4J in SB\
- AN-APG59 pulse-doppler radar
- Head mounted display for radar and infrared seekers
- Premium bonus
Cons:
- The F-4S has no internal gun
- The external gunpod negatively affects flight performance
- Pulse-Doppler radar cannot lock on to target from the side or behind
- No all-aspect missiles
- No guided weaponry for ground RB
