Ju-87 R-2 Libya is a regular [[Ju 87 R-2]] dive bomber but with a different camouflage for desert and tropical warfare as well as a large snake going from the tail of the plane to its propeller. Another Ju-87 (T6+AN) has a similar design to this one with the snake illustration. After a photo of it was released at 1976 the shades of the colours of the snake were being debated and still are. Ju-87 R-2 Libya belonged to  St.G 2 and was used at the Libyan coast Tmimi  to attack allied ships in the Mediterranean. It was flown by Leutenant Hubert Pölz of 6./St.G 2 and participated in the sinking of HMS Auckland off Tobruk in June 1941.The markings of T6DP designates the fourth plane in the sixth Staffel of the second ''Gruppe'' in Sturzkampfgeschwader 2. Armaments

Offensive armament

Main article: MG 17 (7.92 mm)

The Ju 87 R-2 Libya is armed with:

  • 2 x 7.92 mm MG 17 machine guns, wing-mounted (500 rpg = 1,000 total)

The different choices of ammunition types are as follows:

  • Default: AP-T · Ball · Ball · AP-I · AI
  • Tracers: AP-T
  • Universal: AP-T · AP · AI · AP-I
  • Stealth: AI · AP

Suspended armament

The Ju 87 R-2 Libya can be outfitted with the following ordnance:

  • 1 x 250 kg SC250JA bomb (250 kg total)
  • 1 x 500 kg SC500K bomb (500 kg total)
  • 1 x 1,000 kg SC1000L2 bomb (1,000 kg total)
  • 1 x Flam C 500 incendiary bomb

The 1,000 kg bomb is highly effective at this BR, especially in Simulator battles. Make sure to set a long enough fuse for bombing to reduce the chance of fuel leaks. The 1,000 kg bomb may destroy a base in one hit at its BR.

Defensive armament

Main article: MG 15 (7.92 mm)

The Ju 87 R-2 Libya is defended by:

  • 1 x 7.92 mm MG 15 machine gun, dorsal turret (900 rpg)

The different choices of ammunition are as follows:

  • Default: AP-T · Ball · Ball · AP-I · AI
  • Armored targets: AP · AP-T
  • AP-T: AP-I · AP-T

Usage in battles

Describe the tactics of playing in the aircraft, the features of using aircraft in a team and advice on tactics. Refrain from creating a "guide" - do not impose a single point of view, but instead, give the reader food for thought. Examine the most dangerous enemies and give recommendations on fighting them. If necessary, note the specifics of the game in different modes (AB, RB, SB).
