Description
To combat the imminent threat from insurgents in Algeria, France purchased 100+ AD-4s in 1959. Five of the AD-4s were AD-4NAs but all 113 AD-4/Ns were converted to NA configuration by SFERMA. This resulted in the removal of radar equipment and 3-seater AD-4s were reconverted to single-seater versions. The AD-4NAs were deployed in Algerian to fight off the Algerian National Liberation Front. They also saw action in Chad with French mercenaries piloting them. France later sent the AD-4NAs to other countries as they were phased out in the 1970s.
Introduced in Update "Ground Breaking", the ▄AD-4NA Skyraider is a very strong ground attacker with a multitude of ordnance options. The 20 mm cannons are also incredibly effective against ground targets like light pillboxes and can penetrate the engine decks of some medium tanks. With the addition of custom loadouts, players have a lot of options for making loadouts, since the AD-4NA has access to five unique bombs and four types of rockets. Players can use this as a fighter but should beware of partaking in prolonged dogfights. Enemy fighters can easily exploit the AD-4s immense weight which makes it struggle in vertical manoeuvres.

Usage in battles

Pros and cons
Pros:

History
In 1959, France bought 118 AD-4s with some being different variants. 88 AD-4Ns, 20 AD-4s, and 5 AD-4NAs were acquired by France. The AD-4Ns and AD-4s were converted to AD-4NA standard by SFERMA (Société Française d'Entretien et de Réparation de Matériel Aéronautique), a subsidiary of SNCASO to repair and/or overhaul military and civil aircraft. Immediately, the AD-4NAs were sent to Algeria to fight against the Algerian National Liberation Front. The Skyraiders saw massive success in the counter-insurgency role and fought from 1960 till the Independence of Algeria in 1963.
Some of the AD-4s were sent to Chad and were flown by French mercenaries against the Libyan army. A few more AD-4s went to Gabon and were also flown by French pilots. The AD-4s flown by the mercenaries fought till 1982 when they were left abandoned at N'Djamena airport. In 1986, these parked AD-4s were discovered by the AMPAA and two were allowed to be sent back to France. BuAer 125716 was restored in Niamey and took off with its final destination in Melun and redesignated "F-AZFN". BuAer 126959 had carburettor issues and later underwent a ferry flight from Niger to France. After, 126959 was transported via ship to California and was redesignated "N2088V".
