Pros and cons

Pros:

• Excellent supply of countermeasures.
• Has 2 pilots.
• Can mount up to 4 R-60M all-aspect missiles on central pylons.
• Very good energy retention, can maintain 800-900 km/h in a turn with wings swept forward and afterburner deployed.
• Versatile S-25 rockets with both unguided and laser-guided variants.
• Unlike the Su-22M3, can mount S-5K rockets.

Cons:

• Overall turn rate leaves something to be desired.
• Extremely sluggish at low speed.
• Massive target, has one of the biggest wingspans of all top-tier jets with wings swept forward.
• Requires constant use of manual wing sweep in combat.
• Only 1 NR-30 cannon, although this can be offset to an extent by mounting 23mm gunpods
