Gaijin Please
This is the section where I lay out the various vehicles I'd like to see in War Thunder some day. With any luck, this section will shrink in the future.
I may or may not come back at a later date and add more information about these vehicles.

Ammunition load: | 940 total rounds 220 rounds/gun (upper pair) 250 rounds/gun (lower pair) |
Payload: | 8 × 60 lb High Explosive rockets; or 2 × 60 lb HE rockets and 6 × 500 lb bombs |
Missiles: | 2 × AIM-9 Sidewinder missiles (only in RCN service) |
Differences from the F2H-2 variant in game? Lengthened fuselage, enlarged nose, redesigned tail, increased fuel capacity, and eight underwing weapons pylons for a 3,000 lb bomb payload, as opposed to the 4 x 250 lb or 2 x 500 lb bombloads of the F2H-2. Armed with 4 x Colt Mk 16 cannons (similar to the cannons on the FJ-4B), as opposed to the AN/M3s of the F2H-2. This plane would be an amazing ground attacker. Would love to see it foldered with the F2H‑2.
F3D-2
- Developed from the F3D-1, featuring better engines, wing spoilers, autopilot, and an improved AN/APQ-36 radar.
I'd love to see the F3D-2 added in a folder with the F3D-1. The F3D-1 is a little sluggish, and I feel like the extra ~273 kfg from the Westinghouse J34-WE-38 engines would make the Skynight more viable.
F4D-1 Skyray
Introduction year: | 1956 |
Crew: | 1 (Pilot) |
Empty weight: | 16,024 lb (7,268 kg) |

Climb rate: | 305 ft/s (93.3 m/s) |
Wing loading: | 41 lb/ft² |
Thrust/weight: | 0.71 |
Guns: | 4 × 20 mm (0.79 in) Colt Mk 12 cannons |
Ammunition load: | 260 total rounds 65 rounds/gun |
Rockets: | 6 pods of 7 (42 total) 2.75 in (70 mm) unguided rockets; or 4 pods of 19 (76 total) 2.75 in (70 mm) unguided rockets |
Missiles: | 4 × AIM-9 Sidewinders |

- The FJ-3 was a further development of the FJ-2, featuring a more powerful engine. This -3M designation indicates that it was equipped to carry AIM-9 Sidewinder missiles.
- Developed into the FJ-4 Fury, but much like the FJ-2 being dissimilar from the FJ-1, the FJ-4 is also vastly different from the FJ-3.
A-6 Intruder
A-6A
Introduction year: | 1963 |
A-6E
AV-8B Harrier II
F-101A Voodoo
Introduction year: | 1957 |
Crew: | 1 (Pilot) |

Maximum speed: | 1,009 mph (1,162 km/h) at 35,000 ft M 1.52 |
Service ceiling: | 50,300 ft (15,000 m) |
Initial climb rate: | 735 ft/s (224 m/s) |
Wing loading: | __ lb/ft² |
Thrust/weight: | 0.80 |
Guns: | 4 × 20 mm (0.79 in) M39 cannons |
Ammunition load: | 800 total rounds 200 rounds/gun |
Avionics: | MA-7 fire-control system AN/APS-54 radar |
While the F‑101 Voodoo was designed to carry nuclear payloads in real life, I feel that the cannon-equipped F‑101A would make a fun supersonic jet for War Thunder. Unfortunately, the F‑101A would lack any payload options as none were fitted historically. This would make the F‑101A a dedicated fighter within the confines of the game.
