General info
Survivability and armour
Describe armour protection. Note the most well protected and key weak areas. Appreciate the layout of modules as well as the number and location of crew members. Is the level of armour protection sufficient, is the placement of modules helpful for survival in combat? If necessary use a visual template to indicate the most secure and weak zones of the armour.

Main armament
Give the reader information about the characteristics of the main gun. Assess its effectiveness in a battle based on the reloading speed, ballistics and the power of shells. Do not forget about the flexibility of the fire, that is how quickly the cannon can be aimed at the target, open fire on it and aim at another enemy. Add a link to the main article on the gun: {{main|Name of the weapon}}
. Describe in general terms the ammunition available for the main gun. Give advice on how to use them and how to fill the ammunition storage.

Machine guns
Offensive and anti-aircraft machine guns not only allow you to fight some aircraft but also are effective against lightly armoured vehicles. Evaluate machine guns and give recommendations on its use.

Usage in battles
The Leopard 2 PSO retains almost the same mobility as the Previos Modell ( Leopard 2A6 ) and uses the same hull and is equipped with the same armour as the Strv 122. It does have the same Guns except the 12.7mm s.MG.50 Machine Gun with 800 ammo. Yet, its Playstyle remains the same except now you can try to shoot down some Planes.
Long-Range combat
- The Leopard 2 PSO Tower is one of the most impassable in the game. But he has the same weak spot as any other machine in his BR — the mask zone. It can also be destroyed with a well-aimed shot from the ATGM.
- To eliminate the risk of penetration of the gun mask, it is recommended to use commander thermal imagers located on the roof for reconnaissance without exposing the tower itself. Be sure to always turn on the commander's fire control so that the turret itself rotates along with the sight. Having found a target, you can use a laser rangefinder while in the commander's field of view, then switch to the gunner's sight, quickly look out, destroy the target and quickly return back to cover. Your turret will be open for only 2 seconds, which gives your target very little chance to strike back.
- Stay in place only while firing at the target, and never again, because the longer you remain unprotected, the higher the risk that your weapon, along with some crew members, will be knocked out.
- This strategy doesn't make you immortal. You can fight and defeat multiple opponents from a distance. However, CAS and flankers can still beat you. Watch your flanks.
Close combat
- Always use a close-up third-person view. This gives you much better situational awareness than a 10-degree viewing angle in a gunner's scope. Night battles are an exception, at medium distances, you can use commander's thermal engines, which have a better field of view than the gunner's sight. Rotate the camera constantly.
- Put on headphones and watch the engine sounds. They can warn you against an approaching enemy that you don't see yet.
- In close combat, any vehicle in your BR can penetrate you, and so can you.
- Don't rush thoughtlessly and pay attention to your surroundings.
- Being around your teammates can improve your lifetime.
- Never, ever look around the corner if the enemy behind him is aiming at the corner. Your chances of shooting first are zero, and you will most likely die. If you are separated by uneven terrain, such as a hill, and there is an enemy car that knows about you and is aiming at you, you can look out first, provided that you do it correctly — do not use the gunner's sight.
- Use a third-person view and aim from the center of the outer circle of the crosshair directly into the area of his mantle. Then look as fast as you can, and as soon as you see that the inner circle of the crosshair matches what you are aiming at, immediately take a shot. When you learn how to do it fast enough, you will always defeat any technique you encounter in this situation.
- If an enemy car is rushing at you and is going to look out from around the corner, let it do it. You can easily shoot faster than them.
Pros and cons
Summarise and briefly evaluate the vehicle in terms of its characteristics and combat effectiveness. Mark its pros and cons in a bulleted list. Try not to use more than 6 points for each of the characteristics. Avoid using categorical definitions such as "bad", "good" and the like - use substitutions with softer forms such as "inadequate" and "effective".

History
The Leopard 2 PSO, with PSO standing for “Peace Support Operations”, was KMW’s proactive development of the Bundeswehr’s requirements for a tank that needed to be adapted for urban warfare peacekeeping operations. As a result of this version, the Leopard 2 PSO features a compact Euro-Powerpack engine, and has been equipped with optional equipment, capable of being fitted for whatever mission is at hand. The Leopard 2 PSO’s hull has been equipped with additional armor modules on the sides and on the turret, as well as reinforced underbody protection. The modernization of Leopard 2 tanks under the PSO program was first delayed and then eventually abandoned in favor of upgrading tanks to the Leopard 2A7 specification.
