Description
The 2" RP, also known as the Royal Ordnance 2-inch rocket, Royal Navy (RN) 2" rocket, 2" Folding-Fin Rocket (FFR) Mk.1 or MATRA Two-inch is a British unguided folding-fin/stabilized rocket.
The Royal Navy developed the 2-inch rocket during the Cold War, as a replacement for the French 68mm SNEB after Electromagnetic interference issues on-board a Royal Navy carrier's flight-deck affected the French rockets.
The Royal British Navy hired the company, Thomas French & Sons Limited to develop a majority of the pod mounts that could hold the new 2in rockets. The pods were modified 68mm MATRA SNEBs, developed with permission from MATRA.

History
Examine the history of the creation and combat usage of the weapon in more detail than in the introduction. If the historical reference turns out to be too long, take it to a separate article, taking a link to the article about the weapon and adding a block "/History" (example: https://wiki.warthunder.com/(Weapon-name)/History) and add a link to it here using the main
template. Be sure to reference text and sources by using <ref></ref>
, as well as adding them at the end of the article with <references />
.
Media
Excellent additions to the article would be video guides, screenshots from the game, and photos.
