Chances to resist HMG's (up to 12.7 mm machine guns) from the front when angled a bit, but not at a reliable. Hull-breakable, survivability chances are near to 0 when hit by a shell.

Overall mobility is really great can reach up to 100 kph, avg speed off-road being 46-56 kph. Nice control over manoeuvrability even at high speeds. Mobility really suffers on snow or mud and severely hampers your speed. The AUBL also has amphibious capabilities, although speed in the water is limited to around 4 kph.

This page is about the premium Italian light tank AUBL/74 HVG. For the regular version, see AUBL/74.

Description

The FIAT AUBL/74 60/70M (AUBL/74 HVG) is a premium rank V Italian light tank with a battle rating of 8.0 (AB/RB/SB). It was introduced during Update 1.89 "Imperial Navy" as a reward for the Operation H.E.A.T event.

General info

Survivability and armour

Describe armour protection. Note the most well protected and key weak areas. Appreciate the layout of modules as well as the number and location of crew members. Is the level of armour protection sufficient, is the placement of modules helpful for survival in combat? If necessary use a visual template to indicate the most secure and weak zones of the armour.

Mobility

Write about the mobility of the ground vehicle. Estimate the specific power and manoeuvrability, as well as the maximum speed forward and backwards.

Usage in battles

Describe the tactics of playing in the vehicle, the features of using vehicles in the team and advice on tactics. Refrain from creating a "guide" - do not impose a single point of view but instead give the reader food for thought. Describe the most dangerous enemies and give recommendations on fighting them. If necessary, note the specifics of the game in different modes (AB, RB, SB).

Pros and cons

Summarise and briefly evaluate the vehicle in terms of its characteristics and combat effectiveness. Mark its pros and cons in a bulleted list. Try not to use more than 6 points for each of the characteristics. Avoid using certain definitions such as "bad", "good" and the like - use substitutions with softer forms such as "inadequate" and "effective".

Pros:

- high engine HP/weight ratio and amazing top speed

- perfect mobility on roads and urban environments

- decent speed on plain fields, enough to keep up with light tanks

- easy to control even at high speeds

- rather small size, hard enough to hit and easy to hide

- gas grenade launchers located on the turret, the player can choose which side of the tank to cover

- has an anti-aircraft light machine gun

- decent armament for a light tank: acceptable rate of fire and penetration plus near perfect accuracy using APFSDS

- two-plane stabilizer allows accurate fire on the move

- gets the premium tank boost to XP and SL

Cons:

- stabilizer only works up to 75km/h

- horrible mobility in shallow water and snow results in heavy dependance on roads

- the main gun, while accurate, has low caliber of 60mm, more than one shot is often required to take out enemy tank

- small crew of 3

- next to no armor, vunerable even to light machine gun fire

- easily taken out by SPAA and other light tanks

- driver's view ports greatly limit the gun depression on front-right of the tank

- all 6 gas grenades are launched at once

History

Describe the history of the creation and combat usage of the vehicle in more detail than in the introduction. If the historical reference turns out to be too long, take it to a separate article, taking a link to the article about the vehicle and adding a block "/ History" (example: https://wiki.warthunder.com/(Vehicle-name)/History) and add a link to it here using the main template. Be sure to reference text and sources by using <ref></ref>, as well as adding them at the end of the article with <references />. This section may also include the vehicle's dev blog entry (if applicable) and the in-game encyclopedia description (under === In-game description ===, also if applicable).

Media

Excellent additions to the article would be video guides, screenshots from the game, and photos.
