History
The Type 54 Heavy machine gun is a Soviet Dshk46 Heavy machine gun authorized by China. It was finalized in 1954 and used 70 bullet chains to supply ammunition. Compared with the prototype Dshk46 machine gun, the 54 type Heavy machine gun has made several improvements: remove the heat sink on the original gun tube; Add handles on the barrel for easy replacement; Redesigned a lightweight tripod, removed shields and two wheels, and reduced its weight from 127.5 kilograms to 53 kilograms.
