The M.D.450B Ouragan is mainly a BnZ aircraft. It retains in vertical turns and BnZ maneuvers well. When you takeoff, gain speed. After gaining speed, you side-climb up to 2500 - 3000 meters then head to the center. When you're finally in the center, you've already gained speed by accelerating. Then, you commence BnZ tactics. Dive, engage, zoom up to 2500 - 3000 meters, loop around, look for a suitable target, rinse and repeat. If you find yourself in a bad situation where you can't use BnZ tactics, then your last resort would be turning. | The M.D.450B Ouragan is mainly a BnZ aircraft. This page is about the French jet fighter M.D.450B Ouragan. For the "Barougan", see M.D.450B Barougan. |
Description
The M.D.450B Ouragan is a Rank V French jet fighter
with a battle rating of 7.3 (AB) and 7.7 (RB/SB). This aircraft was introduced in Update 1.73 "Vive la France".
The M.D.450B Ouragan is a French jet fighter located at the fighter line in the French tech tree at a battle rating of 8.0. It is the first unlockable jet as you go down the Fighter line in the French tech tree.
The main role of the Ouragan is the Fighter role. Avoid loading any secondary loadout on it as ground pounding at the start of jet matches in Air RB is a bad idea.

- Nose-mounted guns
- Doesn't compress much
- Downtiered often, very capable aircraft against lower-ranked aircraft
- Strong and effective flaps
- M50 20 mm cannons excel with "Air Targets" belts

History
Describe the history of the creation and combat usage of the aircraft in more detail than in the introduction. If the historical reference turns out to be too big, take it to a separate article, taking a link to the article about the vehicle and adding a block "/ History" (example: https://wiki.warthunder.com/(Vehicle-name)/History) and add a link to it here using the main
template. Be sure to reference text and sources by using <ref>
, as well as adding them at the end of the article. This section may also include the vehicle's dev blog entry (if applicable) and the in-game encyclopedia description (under === Encyclopedia Info ===
, also if applicable).
