General info
The m/56D rocket come in with a mass of 41 kg and an explosive mass of 3.7 kg. The rocket flies at 650 m/s making it considerably slower than rockets like the Zuni Mk32, but still fast enough with enough of a punch to keep it good. The rockets are only found on Swedish vehicles and use fins to stabilize it's flight midair.
Effective damage
The m/56D rocket has a HEAT (High Explosive Anti Tank) warhead which has an extremely good effect on an opponents armor however it is much less effective against things like composite armor or reactive armor. The post penetration damage is pretty good and will usually take out an opponent with one solid hit.
Comparison with analogues
As stated in General Info, the m/56D rocket has a mass of 41 kg and it's explosive mass is 3.7 kg. This makes it very similar in size to the British RP-3 rockets however the m/56D's pack much more of a punch when it comes to penetration. Since the rocket is more modern it also flies at a much faster speed. It's penetration can be compared with the Zuni Mk32 which are found on American, Israeli, Japan and a few other nations.
Usage in battles
Describe situations when you would utilise this rocket in-game (vehicle, pillbox, base, etc)
Pros and cons
Pros:
- A direct hit on a ground target will destroy it
Cons:
- You need to get close to secure a hit, at a BR where radar SPAA and SAMs are frequently met
History
Examine the history of the creation and combat usage of the weapon in more detail than in the introduction. If the historical reference turns out to be too long, take it to a separate article, taking a link to the article about the weapon and adding a block "/History" (example: https://wiki.warthunder.com/(Weapon-name)/History) and add a link to it here using the main
template. Be sure to reference text and sources by using <ref></ref>
, as well as adding them at the end of the article with <references />
