Description
The s.MG.50 is functionally and identically the same as the 12.7mm M2HB Heavy Machine Gun found on almost all American tanks and many other Western/ NATO Vehicles. The s.MG.50 is only found on the Leopard 2 PSO where it replaces the loaders MG3A1 on a modified pintle mount which also holds 6 76mm smoke grenades bringing the total number of smoke grenades the PSO can carry to 18.

Exactly like the M2HB the s.MG.50 excels at ripping apart low flying helicopters and CAS when hitting consistent shots. the s.MG.50 is also capable of knocking out the crews of light tanks, SPAA and most modern Tank destroyers (e.g. 9M123 Khrizantema, ADATS and Stridsfordon 9040 BILL)
