This page is about the Soviet sub-chaser MPK Pr.201K. For the other version, see MPK Pr.201M. |
Contents
Description
The MPK Pr.201K is a gift rank IV Soviet sub-chaser with a battle rating of 3.3 (AB/RB/SB). It was introduced during Update "Winged Lions" as a reward for the 2021 Operation W.I.N.T.E.R. event.
General info
Survivability and armour
The MPK Pr.201K virtually has no armour, only protected by steel on the hull and superstructure. The only armour it has located on her 2 x 25 mm turret. It can withstand any small arms and some heavy machine gun fire, but you are vurnelable to autocannon fire. With only 29 crew, it's surprisingly survivable. Just be carefull with your front hull because all of it's ammo are located in front of the ship's hull. Try to hide your front hull if you can or you will be destroyed instantly.
Mobility
For a Sub-chaser, MPK Pr.201K is somewhat quick. With 52 kph forward and 20 kph reverse in RB and SB, you can flank and go behind cover to suprise other boats and sometimes some unaware PT boat with your rapid firing twin 25mm and 45mm autocannon.

Primary armament
The 45mm/89 SM-21-ZIF is a powerful naval autocannon. With it's fast firing high velocity cannon and somewhat less prone to overheating it can shred PT boad and lighty armored ship pretty quickly. Keep in mind that it only have one type of ammo selection and doesn't have AP round, make it harder to fight heavier target like armored gun boat and destroyer. And also your superstructure blocking your firing arc make it useless if your enemy are directly on your front.
