The Sukhoi Su-25 Grach is a Soviet-era close air support aircraft designed for ground attack missions. Entering service in 1981, the Su-25 has been used extensively in various worldwide conflicts and makes up for the shortcomings of the preceding Su-7 and Su-17 fighter-bombers which lacked proper armor protection. Similar to its American A-10 Warthog counterpart, the Su-25 is a true ground attack aircraft with limited air-to-air capability but excels in a ground attack role with its strong airframe and effective weaponry.
With a distinctive engine sound that players either love or hate, the Wyvern S4 has made a name for itself as a formidable aircraft. Aside from its sea-level speed, it is capable of carrying up to 3×1000 lb bombs, rockets of various types, and even its excellent Hispanos Mk.V cannons with ample ammunition capacity. In addition to its firepower for ground attacks, it is perfectly capable of performing boom-and-zoom, features that undoubtedly give it the tools to tip any matchmaker in its favor for victory.
The battles of WW2 made dozens of combat vehicles into legends. Tankers achieved insane feats on their Shermans, T-34s and Panthers, while the skies were set ablaze by mighty Mustangs and Spitfires. But one iconic vehicle of that era is standing out even in this extraordinary company. We’re talking, of course, about the Il-2 Shturmovik, the most-produced military aircraft in history.
