Additionally, the Italian version has different payload options (but have the same stock payload of one 250 kg bomb). However, the German one can carry a heavier bombload (the German one can carry up to 1,000 kg, while the Italian one's heaviest payload is 700 kg in total). The gunner on this plane can sometimes be useless, as one 7.92 mm machine gun is usually not enough to kill enemy fighters at its BR. But, if you're lucky enough to come across an unarmoured fighter coming too close, take control of your gunner and give 'em hell.

the Ju-87 R-2 can be a decently maneuverable without any bombs, and as it usually faces biplanes, the armament of two low-caliber guns is not really underwhelming. so as soon as the match starts drop the bombs and climb at 220kph, (i suggest taking only the 250kg as the extra pods for carrying the wing bombs can create extra drag, although if you forget is not a catastrophic mistake). because of the air-spawn you will be higher than most fighters, and then you can boom and zoom them. this tactic benefits greatly from flying with a squad

The ▄Ju 87 R-2 is a rank I Italian bomber with a battle rating of 1.3 (AB/RB/SB). It was introduced in Update 1.85 "Supersonic".

The Italian version of the Ju 87 R-2 is quite similar to the German version, with some minor differences in terms of speed and flight performance. Additionally, the Italian version has different payload options as it carries different types of bombs. so it cannot carry the 1000kg bomb but it can carry some 50kg bombs underneath the wings. it has 2x7.92mm Machine guns and a single 7.92mm machine gun on the turret operated by the gunner. although this seems unimpressive, this armament is on par with most fighters at its tier and the rear Mg, even with its blind spots, its decent enough to shake off some fighters
