The F200/450 is a fast and strong torpedo that will easily destroy any small boat and even larger ships or at least disable them.

Effective damage

It is most effective in destroying engines on large ships.

Comparison with analogues

Give a comparative description of torpedoes that have firepower equal to this weapon.

Usage in battles

The F200/450 is an air-droppable torpedo and requires the aircraft to fly in a certain profile for the optimum torpedo usage. While the game states the torpedo is droppable from 120 m altitude at a speed of 300 km/h, this is prone to errors and can mess with the torpedo path. It is recommended to fly lower and slower than the stated values to be able to aim more precisely and ensure the torpedo goes toward the target.

Pros and cons

Pros:

  • It doesn't go deep in water so you can destroy even small boats
  • It is very fast (80 km/h)
  • When torpedo is on good course big and slow ships won't have chance to dodge it

Cons:

  • To drop torpedo you need to go below 250 km/h and below 30 m, leaving the plane very vulnerable

History

Examine the history of the creation and combat usage of the weapon in more detail than in the introduction. If the historical reference turns out to be too long, take it to a separate article, taking a link to the article about the weapon and adding a block "/History" (example: https://wiki.warthunder.com/(Weapon-name)/History) and add a link to it here using the main template. Be sure to reference text and sources by using <ref></ref>, as well as adding them at the end of the article with <references />.

Media

Excellent additions to the article would be video guides, screenshots from the game, and photos.
