T25: Underrated Performance

The T25 is an American prototype medium tank developed in 1944 for WW2, rejected for its complicated electric transmission. Without the Sherman’s stabilizer and Pershing’s armor, even in War Thunder this vehicle appears lacking. However, you can use its few strengths to great effect, as this tank has excellent reverse speed and a punchy gun. You surprise the enemy, annihilate the target, and disappear quickly. And to improve survivability, just fight backward! It’s not just a mini M26, it’s a mini killing machine. Let’s look further into this vehicle to transform it into an effective warrior.

M4/T26 - Bobbly Head of the Sherman Family

During the late WW2 period, the U.S. Army realized that the newer German tanks (Panthers and Tigers) were not only getting more challenging and deadlier but were becoming more numerous on the battlefield. Hence, the U.S. looked for ways to increase the firepower; one method was to implement the M26 Pershing turret (T26 at the time) onto the Sherman hull, and while the single prototype test in 1944 proved it could be done, the U.S. canceled the project, knowing the conversion would be a waste of time over introducing the M26 Pershing immediately during the war.

T1E1(90) - A Big Gun on a Big Tank

The T1E1(90) is pretty much a normal T1E1 except with a 90 millimeter cannon strapped to it. It is armed with the aforementioned T7 90 mm cannon, along with a M3 37 mm auxiliary cannon. It is a heavy tank at Rank III and has 2 hull-mounted M2HB 12.7 mm machine guns, as well as one roof mounted one. It has extremely light armor, but decent survivability due to large spacing in the vehicle.

T95E1: A Cold War Prototype

The T95E1 represents a bold step forward in American tank design. Developed during the early years of the Cold War, the T95E1 was engineered to tackle the challenges posed by emerging armored threats. With a focus on advanced firepower, this experimental tank was designed to push the boundaries of what was possible in future armored warfare. In-game, the T95E1 has a 90mm smoothbore gun capable of firing APFSDS with excellent ballistics and angled penetration. Though the T95E1 has less impressive mobility and even worse armor, good positioning and capitalizing on the firepower can make the most out of this prototype tank.
