T-26-4: Prototype Artillery Support on Tracks

The T-26-4 was an experimental “artillery tank” designed in the interwar period by the Soviet Union. In War Thunder, this tank can be tricky to play and requires some experience. Its several weaknesses, such as thin armor and slow speed, force the player to maneuver it cautiously in battle. However, it can be fun to play once you master both its drawbacks and advantages.

SU-5-1: A Unique Prototype on the Battlefield

The SU-5-1 is an experimental Soviet tank destroyer. Even though it doesn’t have the best mobility, this tank has formidable firepower. Despite its limitations, the SU-5-1 offers a unique combat experience that every War Thunder player should try at least once.

T92: American Lowrider

The T92 is an American prototype light tank developed in for the Cold War in the 1950s by Aircraft Armaments Inc. (AAI), the same company that later developed the HSTV-L. While the US Congress might have thought this tank was inadequate for its inability to swim, in War Thunder it is much more than adequate. Armed with a 76 mm cannon that can fire HEAT-FS, a quick reload, and a small hard-to-hit turret, the T92 is deadly. But what are its flaws, and how can its strengths be exploited for maximum effect?

The Archer: Why the Gun Always Thinks in Reverse

The Archer was one of the most unusual tanks of World War II, developed and produced by Britain. It was based on the chassis of the Valentine infantry tank and armed with the 17-pounder anti-tank gun. What made the Archer unique was that its gun faced the rear of the vehicle, meaning the tank often had to be reversed into firing position. Approximately 665 units were built.
