100 mm Cannone da 100/17 Mod. 1914 has average reload time for tank destroyer guns. It has okay penetaration for it's BR in paper, but actually it's actually not that impressive. The gun taverse is slow. The gun has no depression at front of the truck because of the cabin. After penetaration damage is good. It one shots usually, but not always.

''Lancia 3Ro'' was an Italian truck-mounted artillery vehicle used by Italian army. It was produced in small numbers by converting some heavy duty trucks available in Italian military workshops in North Africa with some obsolete guns. It was used from late 1941. They were meant as support vehicles, but also saw use in the anti-tank role.

Italy needed mobile and fast vehicles that they could reach the battlefield quickly to counter enemy attacks and fast counter attacks to enemy. But there was a problem. Italy was too slow to develop those kind of vehicles so the soldiers in South-Africa had to do those themselves in military and civillian workshops. So they mounted obselete guns to trucks. The gun what Lancia 3Ro uses is world war 1 howitzer.

There is a 8 mm Breda Mod. 38 machine gun on the front of the vehicle. Since it can give away your position, it is best to use it as a last resort weapon. Otherwise, you can use it against low-flying aircraft.

Usage in battles

AB and RB:

It's very weakly protected tank destroyer so you should always try keep your distance to enemy. You need to know where to shoot your enemies because it can't pen everything everywhere. It's gun doesn't have any depression at front so it's hard vehicle to learn compared to most other tank destroyers because you must almost always turn your side or back towards the enemy. So it's good idea to drive near the place you want to stay sniping forward but before you reach your destination turn the truck around in safe place and reverse the rest of the way. That way it's lot more safe if you encounter an enemy on the way because you can't shoot forward in most situtations.

Pros and cons

Summarise and briefly evaluate the vehicle in terms of its characteristics and combat effectiveness. Mark its pros and cons in a bulleted list. Try not to use more than 6 points for each of the characteristics. Avoid using categorical definitions such as "bad", "good" and the like - use substitutions with softer forms such as "inadequate" and "effective".

Pros:

  • Has access to HESH and HEAT rounds
  • Has okay mobility at roads
  • Many player will rush you because they underestimate you

Cons:

  • No armour
  • Exposed ammo rack at the front
  • Slow gun traverse
  • No gun depression when facing forward
  • Can be knocked out by rifle-calibre machine gun fire
  • Not very good mobility offroad
  • Slow round velocity
  • Big turning circle

History

Describe the history of the creation and combat usage of the vehicle in more detail than in the introduction. If the historical reference turns out to be too long, take it to a separate article, taking a link to the article about the vehicle and adding a block "/History" (example: https://wiki.warthunder.com/(Vehicle-name)/History) and add a link to it here using the main template. Be sure to reference text and sources by using <ref></ref>, as well as adding them at the end of the article with <references />. This section may also include the vehicle's dev blog entry (if applicable) and the in-game encyclopedia description (under === In-game description ===, also if applicable).

Media

Excellent additions to the article would be video guides, screenshots from the game, and photos.
