M/71 (120 kg)
Vehicles equipped with this weapon
The M/71 is essentially an updated version of the M/61 bomb with a new spiked nose fuze. It is a relatively low-yield high-explosive fragmentation bomb and has low-drag style body with four stabilizer fins on the tail section. The "M" in the name refers to it being a weapon and the "71" describes the year of its introduction.
|Explosive type||Composition B|
|Explosive mass||30 kg|
|TNT equivalent||39.3 kg|
|HE max penetration||70 mm|
|Armour destruction radius||4 m|
|Fragment dispersion Radius||96 m|
The M/71 has no special armour-piercing properties and does all of its damage through sheer explosive force. With an explosive mass of 39.3 kg TNTeq and an armour destruction radius of only 4 m, the bomb is most suited for precision strikes against soft targets, though a direct hit will still destroy an armoured target like an MBT.

Pros and cons
Summarise and briefly evaluate the weaponry in terms of its characteristics and combat effectiveness. Mark pros and cons as a list.
Examine the history of the creation and combat usage of the weapon in more detail than in the introduction. If the historical reference turns out to be too long, take it to a separate article, taking a link to the article about the weapon and adding a block "/History" (example: https://wiki.warthunder.com/(Weapon-name)/History) and add a link to it here using the
