Description

The Type 1936-class and subclasses destroyers were a class of 28 destroyers in the German Kriegsmarine.

Initially it was planned to name all ships after well known people, but starting from the Type 1936A-class (Z23+) the practice was abandoned in lieu of just sequential numbers.
