Description

The Capitani Romani-class cruisers were a class of light cruisers built for the Regia Marina during World War II. Some of the ships were later reclassified as destroyers and would see service with the post-war Italian Navy and French Navy. In particular after World War II, two of the Capitani Romani-class in the Italian service have been renamed as San Giorgio-class, meanwhile France got two of these ships as war prize after World War II and the class was renamed in Chateaurenault-class.
