Description
The ▂Mi-24D is a rank V premium Russian attack helicopter
with a battle rating of 9.3 (AB/SB) and 8.7 (RB). This helicopter was introduced in Update 1.81 "The Valkyries", and was sold in a pre-order bundle. It can no longer be purchased
One of the most iconic helicopter gunships of the cold war, the Mil Mi-24 was widely exported throughout the eastern bloc as the Soviet Union armed its satellites in Europe and abroad. This Mi-24D is one such example, and flies the colors of the Czechoslovak Air Force. The "Hind" is one of the most heavily armed gunships ever made, possessing extensive payloads and a durable airframe, at the cost of low maneuverability. A pair of Klimov TV3-117V turboshaft engines give the helicopter good lifting power and decent flight speeds.

Usage in battles
Describe the tactics of playing in the helicopter, the features of using vehicles in a team and advice on tactics. Refrain from creating a "guide" - do not impose a single point of view but give the reader food for thought. Examine the most dangerous enemies and give recommendations on fighting them. If necessary, note the specifics of the game in different modes (AB, RB, SB).

History
The Mi-24D was designed to be a more pure gunship than the earlier variants. It entered production in 1973. The Mi-24D has a redesigned forward fuselage, with two separate cockpits for the pilot and gunner. It is armed with a single 12.7mm four-barrel Yak-B machine-gun under the nose. It can also carry four 57mm rocket pods, four SACLOS 9M17 Phalanga anti-tank missiles (a significant enhancement compared to the MCLOS system found on the Mi-24A), plus bombs and other weapons.[1]
