Usage in battles

This cannon is a jack-of-all-trades due to its very high accuracy and a low drop with good penetration over the different ranges it can be fired.

Pros and cons

Pros:

  • Medium-high velocity
  • High penetration

Cons:

  • Slow reload, plan your shots and retreat if necessary beforehand

History

The Kwk 40 was devloped as the intelegence repports from the ussr showed that they were devloping tanks that were too heavy for the PaK 38 (50 mm) to penetrate.

From 1942 onwards the gun was the standard mount for the Panzer IV. The kwk was mechanicly difrent from the pak 42 in that it had an electric firing mechanism.

Media

An excellent addition to the article would be a video guide, as well as screenshots from the game and photos.
