The HuoPao LiuDan ZiXing 05 is a rank V Chinese tank destroyer with a battle rating of 7.7 (AB/RB/SB). It was introduced in Update "Firebirds".
General info
Survivability and armour
Describe armour protection. Note the most well protected and key weak areas. Appreciate the layout of modules as well as the number and location of crew members. Is the level of armour protection sufficient, is the placement of modules helpful for survival in combat? If necessary use a visual template to indicate the most secure and weak zones of the armour.

BEA1-155, SAPCBC , Tier II - Likely for the demand to demolish enemy's fortifications, NORINCO introduced the BEA1-155 as an "APHE" (sic.) for 155 mm artillery systems, this will be currently the only SAPCBC for its caliber. Quoting from a CCTV-7 video, "The enemy in the bunker wouldn't feel any pain." What makes BEA1-155 different from BTM1-105 used by PLAGF tanks is the impressive explosive content of the shell, even if the enemy vehicle is not penetrated directly, the explosive content is sometimes enough to simply knock them out right away.

Usage in battles
Describe the tactics of playing in the vehicle, the features of using vehicles in the team and advice on tactics. Refrain from creating a "guide" - do not impose a single point of view but instead give the reader food for thought. Describe the most dangerous enemies and give recommendations on fighting them. If necessary, note the specifics of the game in different modes (AB, RB, SB).
Pros and cons
Pros:
- Excellent firepower
- Long barrel 155 mm gun with high velocity for any shells
- Devastating BEA1-155 SAPCBC which is both deadly from impact or explosion
- Sufficient explosive filler for taking out even the heaviest targets
- Great ergonomics
- Autoloader with fixed 7.5 second reload
- The fastest turret traverse speed among similar howitzer at 10°/s
- Sufficient mobility to enable flanking operations or retreat to safety
- Hydropneumatic suspension for extra depression, possibly the highest overall among howitzers
- The very first Chinese vehicle to introduce anti-spalling liner
- Sufficient frontal protection to stop .50 caliber up front
- Versatile sight magnification for different engagement ranges
- Equips with LRF for long-range engagement
Cons:
- Huge profile which can be easily be spotted
- Large turret carousel autoloader with high chance of detonation if been directly hit
- Rather huge gun system which is prone to damages from direct hits
- Default gun depression is not sufficient for complicated terrains
History
Describe the history of the creation and combat usage of the vehicle in more detail than in the introduction. If the historical reference turns out to be too long, take it to a separate article, taking a link to the article about the vehicle and adding a block "/History" (example: https://wiki.warthunder.com/(Vehicle-name)/History) and add a link to it here using the main
template. Be sure to reference text and sources by using <ref></ref>
, as well as adding them at the end of the article with <references />
. This section may also include the vehicle's dev blog entry (if applicable) and the in-game encyclopedia description (under === In-game description ===
, also if applicable).
Media
Excellent additions to the article would be video guides, screenshots from the game, and photos.
