Vehicles equipped with this weapon
General info
Based on the 88 mm flak gun. Originally made specifically for the Tiger (Germany) tank.
Available shells
Describe the shells that are available for the cannon and their features and purpose. If it concerns autocannons or machine guns, write about different ammo belts and what is inside (which types of shells).
Comparison with analogues
Give a comparative description of cannons/machine guns, that have firepower equal to these type of weapons.
Usage in battles
With a very flat trajectory the KwK 36 gives the player a high margin of error in aiming whilst the high penetration makes sure that just hitting a target will most likely disable or destroy it.
Pros and cons
A flat trajectory heavy hitting slow firer.
Pros:
- Flat trajectory
- Relatively high penetration
- High accuracy
Cons:
- Slow reload
History
A FlaK 37 (88 mm) gun modified with a less space taking recoil system.
Originally ordered to arm the tiger serries of tanks with an 88 mm cannon.
Later on the KwK 43 (88 mm) would be made from the inspiration.
Media
An excellent addition to the article would be a video guide, as well as screenshots from the game and photos.
