The Pz. II – A Jack of all Trades

The Panzerkampfwagen II, also known as the PzKpfw II, Panzer II, or Sd.Kfz 121 was a light German tank used in World War II and the pre-war period. Developed in the 1930s by MAN and Daimler-Benz, it was intended as a temporary solution and formed the backbone of the Wehrmacht’s armored divisions at the beginning of the war. A total of 3,404 Panzer II’s of various types were built. They were used not only by Germany but also by Romania, Slovakia, and Norway.

This guide is about the history to the 10,5 cm StuH 42 L/28. These guns were the mainstay of the German Army, from prewar till the very end. With performance upgrades along its life, it was effectively used in a multitude of roles such as direct support/assault artillery fire and counter artillery. The close up field support was effective against structures, infantry and tanks using a wide array of ammo types. It was only late in the war to be replaced by longer barreled variants such as L/30 and L/35. Being a formidable gun both in-game as well as IRL. It was used on all fronts, upgraded over time and used by multiple nations.

Bandkanon 1C - Fast Firing and Explosive

The Bandkanon was a Self-Propelled Artillery Gun developed by Bofors from 1960 to 1965. It was part of a longer Swedish Army project to develop a modern autoloaded SPAG for its forces. The Bkan was based on the S-tank chassis and initially used the powerpack of the A version, which was severely underpowered to drive this 50-ton tank. Because of this, all Bkans were later upgraded to the powerpack of the Strv 103C, giving it the 1C designation.
