Description
The Pr.26, Voroshilov, 1943 is a gift rank IV Soviet light cruiser with a battle rating of 5.7 (AB/RB/SB). It was introduced during Update "Ixwa Strike" as a reward for Battle Pass: Season III, "Strength athletics".
General info
Survivability and armour
As with the other Kirov-class cruisers. The Voroshirov is best described as an oversized "light" cruiser. She dwarfed most of the other proper light cruisers and rivalling the size of a heavy cruiser (just shorter than Mogami-class heavy cruisers by 13 meters). Voroshirov's size is essentially a double-edged sword; it can be easily targeted at any ranges, yet it's very survivable despite only had a simple 50 mm of citadel armor, this is because most of Voroshirov's critical components (such as main battery ammo racks and engines) were located inside the citadel that were sit just below the waterline. This esssentially turned the whole upper hull into a huge bullet sponge that can contain a lot of damage, save for a well-struck shots. Other than the citadel armor, Voroshirov's main turrets were also covered with 50 mm of armor to protect it from HE shells.
Mobility
The Voroshirov can reach a respectable top speed of 78 km/h (AB)/67 km/h (RB). However, she's quite sluggish to move around due to excessive hull length.

Modifications and economy
Armament
Primary armament
Voroshilov has 9 x 180 mm/57 (7.1") B-1-P Pattern 1932 naval cannons for her main armament, arranged in triple turrets mounted A-Bs-X. This gives Kirov a heavy punch, but her overall firepower is lacking compared to other cruisers at her BR. With a fire rate of 5 rounds/minute, she has the slowest reload among the BR 5.7 cruisers (not counting Furutaka's 20.3 cm guns).
Kirov uses the OF-32 HE shell as default, with the ability to unlock the B-32 AP shell, the BP-32 SAPBC shell as well as the ZS-32 HE-DF shell. A major advantage that Kirov has is the astounding 920 m/s muzzle velocity of all her shells, meaning that leading targets will not be as difficult. The SAPBC shell sacrifices some of the armour penetrative abilities of the AP shell, but it is loaded with a whopping 7 kg of A-IX-2 explosive filler which is nearly 11 kg of TNT equivalent.
Secondary armament
The Voroshilov has a secondary armament of 6x 100 mm/56 (3.9") B-34 Pattern 1940 cannons arranged evenly on either side of the after smoke funnel. This is a rather light secondary battery, but they are versatile due to their clear angles of fire and ammunition selection.
These guns have access to the ZS-56 HE-DF shell as default and the ZS-56R HE-VT shell is able to be researched.
Anti-aircraft armament
The key difference of the Voroshilov compared to her sister ships is her anti air armaments. She is equipped with thirteen 37 mm 70-K anti-air cannons plaed all over the ship. These 37 mm guns is very powerful against any aircraft she will face and is capable of shooting down the enemy from up to 3-4 kilometers away. As a bonus, she also have seven Vickers machine guns and four DShK machine guns to serve as a deterrent at close range.
Additional armament
Voroshilov is equipped with 2 x triple torpedo launchers firing the 53-39 torpedo. The base setting for these is a range of 4,000 meters with a high speed of 51 knots. Using the torpedo mode upgrade, they can be adjusted to 10,000 meters range at a reduced speed of 34 knots. Due to the location of the launchers being low and behind raised structure, the ship is not able to launch torpedoes towards the front, and must turn to release weapons.
Usage in battles
Describe the technique of using this ship, the characteristics of her use in a team and tips on strategy. Abstain from writing an entire guide – don't try to provide a single point of view, but give the reader food for thought. Talk about the most dangerous opponents for this vehicle and provide recommendations on fighting them. If necessary, note the specifics of playing with this vehicle in various modes (AB, RB, SB).

History
Devblog
The light cruiser Voroshilov is one of the cruisers of the Project 26 (Kirov class), was laid down in 1935, launched in 1937, and in 1940 joined the Soviet Black Sea Fleet as flagship. Like other cruisers from the project, it was a deep modernization of the Italian cruiser Eugenio di Savoia, with significantly better firepower and hull strength. Voroshilov saw combat literally in the first days of the Nazi invasion of the USSR, assisting the attack on the oil silos of the Constanta, Romania in June 1941. Later that year she shelled the accumulations of German military vehicles and personnel in the Perekop region. During WWII, Voroshilov took an active part in combat throughout the Black Sea, and was several times damaged by shelling and enemy aircraft. For her courage, the cruiser was awarded the Order of the Red Banner. After the war, Voroshilov continued to serve in the Black Sea Fleet of the Soviet Navy, going through several stages of modernization. The cruiser was decommissioned in 1973 and later scrapped for metal.
