Description
The Camionetta AS 42 Tipo II "Metropolitana" (shortened as just AS 42) is a Rank I Italian self-propelled anti-aircraft gun
with a battle rating of 1.3 (AB/RB/SB). It was introduced in Update 1.85 "Supersonic".
General info
Survivability and armour
The AS42 lacks in armor and is very vunurable to attacks from air. most machine guns are able to shred this tank and as such it is not recomended to engage in slugging matches.
The AS42 has 2 crew with ammo to the turret placements sides.
The armour is not sufficent to protect it against 50 cal machine guns although using the engine compartment as armour will protect against 50cal machienguns from hitting the From the front the tank is weak against 50 cal machine guns, and at sides will be protected by the ammunition compartment.driver.
The tank is protected from medium caliber machineguns with sloped 3mm armor.
The gunner is protected by the gun from most calibers
A normal armor piercing shell will pass through without exploding
Mobility
The tank has a very high mobility with speeds exeeding 80 kilometers per hour on concrete and 35 on offroad.

Usage in the battles
With its high speed it has the ability to flank and with its autocannon its able to cause high damage fast. If unable to penetrate you will be able to escape quite quickly and leave to figth another day. The Tank loses most of its advantages when going in to arcade with stealth and positioning.
