Overview:
The AH-64A (GR) is an exceptionally powerful helicopter, wielding unparalleled prowess on the battlefield with its lethal and precise long-range attack capabilities. It is armed with the renowned Hellfire missiles, renowned for their remarkable accuracy and precision, enabling devastatingly targeted strikes against enemy positions. It is also equipped with potent Hydra rockets that effortlessly deliver crushing blows to lightly armored targets while maintaining the ability to eliminate a wide range of adversaries. Furthermore, the AH-64A (GR) is equipped with an adaptable 30mm cannon capable of engaging both air-to-ground and air-to-air targets, further enhancing its versatility and combat effectiveness.
Long Range Air-to-Ground combat:
The Apache's armament, consisting of AGM-114s, allows the helicopter to be deadly at long ranges. However, SPAA at this tier can efficiently counter the Apache's attacks, making it a challenging helicopter to fly. The Apache's agility and speed make it a difficult target to hit, but experienced SPAA operators can still take it down with well-placed shots. Additionally, the Apache's reliance on line-of-sight for its weapons means that it can be easily countered by terrain and obstacles. Despite these weaknesses, the Apache remains a formidable force on the battlefield, capable of taking out multiple targets with precision strikes. Overall, the Apache is a versatile and lethal helicopter that requires skilled operators to fully utilize its capabilities while avoiding its vulnerabilities.

The helicopter is not well-equipped to combat jets and other helicopters, and as a result players should only engage in air-to-air combat as a last resort.
The Stinger (AIM-92) missile should be used at a distance against unsuspecting enemies due to its ease of avoidance. Although the Aim-9L missile proves superior in terms of speed and maneuverability, the absence of IRCCM makes it far easier to flare. In extreme cases, the pilot may use the 30 mm cannon for self-defense, but such scenarios should be avoided.
Pros and cons
Pros:
- Access to potent AGM-114B missiles, Hydra rockets, and APWKS missiles.
- IRCM and RWR allowing quick reaction in case of attack.
- Adequate speed and agility
- Good durability; can take a few hits.
Cons:
- Air-to-air performance is inadequate compared to its adversaries
- Very few countermeasures
