Contents
Description
This is the first tank version of the British OQF 6 Pounder Anti Tank gun, the Mk III being a Mk II with the L/44 barrel length but adapted for tank service. It has excellent reload speed and good ballistic properties but as with most British guns will lack HE filler in their AP ammunition.

General info
The 6pdr fires quickly, accurately and with good velocity but due to low caliber and no HE filler you will have to shoot intelligently and precisely to maximise damage to the internals.

Comparison with analogues
The gun is similar to the Russian 57mm guns and can be played similarly but it should be noted that the Russian 57mm uses higher propellant ammunition and as such has better penetration and velocity in general, your advantage over this is a slightly faster reload.
Usage in battles
The gun is low caliber and low damage but features good handling, reload speed and penetration for it's battle rating.
Pros and cons
Pros:
- Good reload speed
- Good velocity
- Good gun handling
Cons:
- No explosive filler
- Low caliber
History
Examine the history of the creation and combat usage of the weapon in more detail than in the introduction. If the historical reference turns out to be too long, take it to a separate article, taking a link to the article about the weapon and adding a block "/History" (example: https://wiki.warthunder.com/(Weapon-name)/History) and add a link to it here using the main
