Pros:

• The shells for the howitzer have a high amounts of explosive filler, dealing overpressure damage
• The howitzer almost always kills on direct impact with an enemy
• Trajectory can be used to fire on tanks hiding in hull down position

Cons:

• The long reload time gives enemies an opportunity to exploit the time window to raid your position and destroy your vehicle while you're defenceless
• Two-piece ammunition is stored separately and occupies a lot of internal space, making ammo rack explosions frequent
