The Me 210 Ca-1, officially the Me 210 Ca-1 nehéz vadászrepülőgép in Hungarian service, was a heavily upgraded Hungarian version of the German Me 210, featuring a redesigned airframe with an extended fuselage to fix the stability and stall issues that made it much disliked by Luftwaffe pilots, as well as much more powerful Daimler-Benz DB-605B engines.
A handful of Me 210 Ca-1s were fitted with a 40 mm Bofors autocannon, the 4 cm 36 M. légvédelmi gépágyú, for use against aerial targets, as well as the 15 cm 43 M. rakétagránát, a Hungarian licence-produced version of the 15 cm Wurfgranate 41 Spreng (Wgr. 41 Spr.) rocket. The 36 M. cannon was designed to be used against Allied bombers, while the 43 M. rockets were used against ground targets. This aircraft was also intended to be fitted with the 44 M. Lidérc anti-bomber proximity fuse rocket, but development was not completed before the end of the war. Hungarian Me 210 Ca-1s saw service from 1943 until they were destroyed by their crews in March 1945.
The Me 210 Ca-1 36.M was introduced in Update 2.55 "Ninth Wave". Despite being developed as a more heavily anti-bomber variant of the aircraft, in War Thunder it presents itself as the most capable strike fighter in the Me 210 family. A powerful 40 mm gun, 50 kg SC50JA bombs, and Wgr. 41 Spr. rockets allow it to effectively deal with armoured targets, and powerful engines let it effectively evade anti-aircraft fire and perform high-speed attacks. The 40 mm gun, being originally an AAA gun, is no slouch against aircraft either. Rearward-facing 13 mm MG 131 machine guns allow it to somewhat defend itself against enemy aircraft, but it remains a poor fighter and should rely on allied aircraft and AAA for protection.
