History

The Soviet Navy received the British Mark 10 Hedgehog Mortar as Lend-Lease from the British during World War II. After the war ended, they began developing their own improved version of this weapon system for destroying enemy submarines which became the RBU-1000. In 1955, an improved version of the design came out for smaller vessels the RBU-1200. The RBU-1200 is a five-tube launcher controlled by a PUS-B “Uragan” (Slavic for “hurricane”) fire control system. The RBU-1200 projectiles used solid rocket fuel for launches and was also intended for use against enemy torpedoes. The weapon was notably used on the Pr.201 and Pr.12412 which were both dedicated ASW patrol craft classes.

Media

Excellent additions to the article would be video guides, screenshots from the game, and photos.
