Available shells
Only two types of shell a AP-T and HEFI-T(Proximity Fuse). You get default which is a mix of the two. High Explosive which has 3 HEFI-T's and one AP-T. Vice versa for AP just switch the rounds
Comparison with analogues
Bofors 4cm cannons which are similar to the MEL58 have a lower firerate and lack anti-air capabilities compared to the MEL58.
Usage in battles
With the fast firing guns and good ammunition allows you to tackle small boats and larger ones it meets at its BR.
