Description

The MG C/30L (20 mm) is an experimental version of the Flak 30, which was modified to be mounted on aircraft. The higher power of the cartridge, compared to other 20mm cannons at its rank, allows for heavy hitting power, enabling it to take down most aircraft with 2-3 rounds and penetrate light ground targets.

General info

It has powerful rounds, but a rather slow rate of fire, which makes it hard to hit fast targets, if you're inexperienced in air battles.

Comparison with analogues

Give a comparative description of cannons/machine guns that have firepower equal to this weapon.

Usage in battles

Describe the cannon/machine gun in the game - its distinctive features, tactics of usage against notable opponents. Please don't write a "guide" - do not impose a single point of view, but give the reader food for thought.

Pros and cons

Pros:

  • Devastating against most fighters encountered

Cons:

  • Slower rate of fire compared to other armaments at its rank

History

This gun is a derivative of the 2 cm/65 C/30 which is already in game as a naval AA gun. Usage of this weapon was strictly experimental during Spanish civil war, where it proved useful against enemy armoured cars and light tanks. However, due to its problems with ammunition feeding and small magazine, its usage was cancelled.

Media

Excellent additions to the article would be video guides, screenshots from the game, and photos.
