History

After World War II, Hispano-Suiza wanted to replace their venerable Hispano 404 autocannon. The resulting HS.820 was short-lived in the aircraft role due to the introduction of revolver cannons, but it would see greater success as an anti-aircraft gun. One of the AA variants was the HS.639-B3, a single-mounted cannon fed with only a 75 round drum which was a severe limitation for a gun that fired at 1,000 rounds per minute. In 1970, the Hispano-Suiza arms division was bought out by Oerlikon, who re-designated this cannon the GAI-C01.

Media

Excellent additions to the article would be video guides, screenshots from the game, and photos.
