Hi. Is there a reason why you guys like to make multiple templates instead of making 1 template with multiple options? For example the templates Tree-Unit and Tree-Unit-Squad have such minor differences you could easily combine them into one template with a switch statement.--[[User:U30585107|U30585107]] ([[User talk:U30585107|talk]]) 02:09, 11 July 2019 (UTC) | Hi. Regarding ATGM announcement.
Hello. Since i am mostly interested in filling up ATGM (and, by extent, some SAM) tank pages, i have to ask something regarding the new announcement and that documentary page. Is it possible to somehow convince developers to not only show us maximal, but also the initial speed for the missiles? Sure i can use calculator and get missiles average speed by dividing 2000 m by expected missile arrival time from the presented spreadsheet tables (that would allow me to guess which ATGM tank would win in a duel, or would it hit normal tank standing in cover or not), but initial speed is sometimes very different in RB and AB and can also be 0 (which, depending on the situation, can be very good or very bad). I automatically assume that the tables they presented are only relevant for RB/SB, so i'm not sure what to expect in AB. Not suggesting to replace all guided weapons tables with a table including "starting speed (AB/RB/SB), maximum speed, average acceleration (AB/RB/SB), expected arrival time at 2 km range", but i personally think having starting speed in some form would be very useful for the wiki as well. If that's not an option, will it be okay for me to calculate and put average speed on every page using the sheet in question? (after testing the results, obviously) --bangerland (talk) 16:17, 30 August 2021 (UTC)
