The Great War! (1 April 2025)

"The Great War!" event was part of War Thunder’s annual April Fools’ events, held in 2025. It ran from 1 April to 7 April, allowing players to earn a set of World War I vehicles by completing daily tasks. In this event, players took part in battles using World War I vehicles from two factions: the Triple Entente and the German Empire, including well-known vehicles such as the Mark V and the A7V. Battles took place on a World War I-themed map featuring trench networks and destroyed buildings. AI-controlled soldiers were also present and moved through the trenches. In addition to ground vehicles, early World War I aircraft such as the SPAD S.XIII, Fokker D.VII and the H.P.12 bomber were available for use in battle. The Zeppelin was also included as a playable vehicle for Germany and could be used for ground attacks. However, the fighters and the Zeppelin were not available as event rewards.
