The J-10C is a Chinese fourth-generation-plus multi-role fighter aircraft and a significant upgrade to the J-10A. It was developed by the Chengdu Aircraft Industry Group (CAIG). The first flight of the aircraft, numbered 201, took place on December 31, 2013. Key improvements include a new AESA radar and installing a more powerful, economical AL-31FN series 3 engine, although some later planes have Chinese engines. The J-10C officially entered service with the PLAAF in 2018. The export version, the J-10CE, is also in service with the Pakistan Air Force. The J-10C saw combat for the first time in the 2025 Indo-Pakistani conflict.
The J-10C was introduced in Update 2.53 "Line of Contact". It received a new engine that significantly improves its thrust-to-weight ratio. Its new AESA radar allows it to engage targets confidently at long ranges. The J-10C's armament consists of PL-12 medium-range missiles with active radar guidance and PL-8B all-angle short-range missiles. This combination enables the J-10C to effectively engage in both medium-range and close-range combat. Disadvantages include a shorter missile launch range compared to some counterparts and a difficult cannon aim.
