Challenger 1 (Family)

Description

The Challenger 1 is a British 3rd generation main battle tank put into service in 1983. It served in the British Army until 2001 when it was replaced by the Challenger 2. A number of surplus tanks were sold to the Royal Jordanian Army, where they operated until retired in 2022.
