32pdr OQF (94 mm)

Description

The 32pdr OQF (94mm) is a heavy British anti-tank cannon featured exclusively in the Tortoise Heavy Assault Tank in-game. The Gun features excellent ballistics and penetration with a good reload and decent spalling. In British fashion, the gun trades post-pen damage for high pennetration capabilities.

General info

The 32pdr OQF (94mm) is as the title suggests a 94mm cannon (3.7-in). It fires high velocity full calibre solid shot rounds with a good reload. The gun features a weigthed muzzle brake that is easy for the enemy to shoot, disabling your cannon.

Available ammunition

The 32pdr cannon in-game features 2 shells that it recieves stock on the Tortoise. The first round is Shot Mk.1 which is a full-bore solid-shot APCBC round with more than 250mm of penetration (256mm point-blank range). Shot mk.1 features good spalling after penetrating enemy armour. The second round for the 32pdr cannon is Shell Mk.1, a Full-Bore High-Explosive round with 13mm of peneration at any range. The shell carries 920 grams of TNT and is capable of overpressuring thin armour and exposed crew.

Comparison with analogues

The 32pdr OQF (94mm) is used as an anti-tank gun the same way the German 88mm Pak/43 which originated as an anti-aircraft gun, was converted to fit as an anti-tank gun fitted to - ammong other vehicles - the Tiger II. The 32mm OQF (94mm) can be found on the in-game Heavy Assault Tank (A39) Tortoise.
