The Junkers Ju 88 A-4 was the most widely produced variant of the German Ju 88 dive bomber. This upgraded version incorporated lessons learned from the Ju 88s in service. It featured a longer wingspan, additional defensive armament, and a reinforced airframe. Additionally, the Ju 88 A-4 was equipped with more powerful Jumo 211J engines. Production of these bombers began in 1940, and a total of 2,332 Ju 88 A-4s were built. They played an active role in combat operations across Europe, from England to the Mediterranean and the Soviet Union. Various variants of the Ju 88 A-4 served as bombers, reconnaissance aircraft, and, later, heavy fighters.

The Ju 88 A-4 has been in the game since the start of the Open Beta Test prior to Update 1.27. Unlike the previous version, the Ju 88 A-1, this one boasts a higher top speed and greater payload thanks to its more powerful engines. Otherwise, the Ju 88 A-4 remains the same bomber with fairly good maneuverability, a high top speed, and a good bomb load. However, it lacks any serious defensive armament.
