One might think that this is a great cannon, because it is 75 mm in caliber. It is a great cannon, but you will find it very hard to learn how to play it properly. Once you have learned, you will be rewarded with a beast of a cannon. If you play the plane often you can get 10 kills per battle.

From June 1944, only 25 examples of the Hs 129 B-3 arrived at frontline units before the production line was shut down in September and a small number were reportedly also created by converting B-2 aircraft. In the field the B-3 proved effective, but its small numbers had little to no real effect on the war effort.

Description

The 75 mm BK 7.5 is a German cannon armament installed on aircraft. It fires shells similar to that of the 75 mm anti-tank gun PaK40, delivering fire from the air against armoured targets.

Vehicles equipped with this weapon

General info

The 75 mm BK 7.5 can deliver a good amount of fire onto ground targets. With only 13 rounds to fire, and a rather high rate of fire (30 rounds per minute), the pilot must be careful about how and when to open fire with this large-calibre weapon.

Available ammunition

  • Default: APHE - The APHE shell offers high penetration power and devastating post-penetration damage, perfect to attack armoured vehicles.
  • Armored targets: HVAP-T - The APCR shot has a even higher penetration power but no explosive filler.
  • Ground targets: HEI-T - With a high explosive filler but a poor penetration power against armour, this shell is best suited to target large aircraft.

Comparison with analogues

Give a comparative description of cannons/machine guns that have firepower equal to this weapon.

Usage in battles

The cannon is hard to aim, so you will need a few tries before landing a successful hit. Against ground vehicles, the safest strategy is to aim for roof armour in a 45° dive as the cannon has a high penetration power. An approach at low altitude to target the sides is risky and will often end in a crash. Another thing to keep in mind is that you have very little ammo so make every shot count. Using the cockpit gunsight can help land shots more precisely. Against aircraft, the gun should be reserved to deal with large slow targets like bombers.

Pros and cons

Summarise and briefly evaluate the weaponry in terms of its characteristics and combat effectiveness. Mark pros and cons as a list.

Pros:

  • Great damage
  • Pretty short reload time
  • Varied ammunition

Cons:

  • Hard to aim
  • Only 13 rounds aboard

History

Examine the history of the creation and combat usage of the weapon in more detail than in the introduction. If the historical reference turns out to be too long, take it to a separate article, taking a link to the article about the weapon and adding a block "/History" (example: https://wiki.warthunder.com/(Weapon-name)/History) and add a link to it here using the main template. Be sure to reference text and sources by using <ref></ref>, as well as adding them at the end of the article with <references />.

Media

Excellent additions to the article would be video guides, screenshots from the game, and photos.
