Decorations are cosmetic items that you can place on vehicles to give them a unique appearance. They can be applied to ground vehicles and ships, but not to aircraft. Decorations are purely visual and do not provide gameplay benefits such as armor protection. While camouflage foliage may obscure parts of a vehicle, its effect is limited compared to dedicated camouflage patterns and their detail is reduced at distance.

Animated Decorations
Animated decorations add motion or visual effects to a vehicle and can make it stand out — but they can also reveal your position, so they’re less suitable when hiding. The game includes several animated decoration items.
Getting decorations
There are several ways to obtain decorators:
- Golden Eagles: Buy most decorations with Golden Eagles (excluding certain Thunder League exclusives).
- War Bonds: Purchase decorations available in the War Bond store
- Tasks / achievements: Some decorations are rewards for specific tasks. Hover over a decoration in the menu to see how to earn it..
- Events / Battle Pass: Periodic events and Battle Passes often award unique decorations.
- Market: Buy decorations from other players that were released during promotions.
- Collections: Completing decoration collections can grant bonus items (e.g., completing a set of infantry helmets might grant a unique M1 “Born to Kill” helmet).
Purchased decorations are available to all your owned ground vehicles and can be installed on multiple vehicles an unlimited number of times, subject to per‑vehicle limits for identical items.
To buy and equip decorations: open a vehicle’s page, select customization, then use the customization menu to purchase and place decorations. Each vehicle has up to six decoration slots. Note that not all decorations can be placed multiple times on the same vehicle.
- Decorations cannot be placed on the vehicle’s interior bodywork.
- Decorations cannot be attached to detachable parts (e.g., fenders over tracks)
- In RB and SB, decorations can obstruct the driver’s or gunner’s view.
Decorations may only be placed on vehicle parts that cannot be knocked off by enemy fire or nearby explosions. They cannot be attached to gun barrels, machine guns, or tracks.
Note on camouflage foliage and visibility:
Camouflage foliage from the Camouflage category may block the driver’s or gunner’s view in RB and SB if placed over vision ports or optics. Place foliage on armor areas that won’t interfere with gameplay and use X‑ray mode to check optics alignment before a battle. Decorations are rendered at close range; at medium and long distances vehicles appear unchanged despite having decorations.
